Hotel Gaviota Cayo Saetia
The 4 star Hotel Cayo Saetia, named like the key in which it is located, represents an almost unique opportunity for those who want to enjoy a wild tourism, given the large number of species of animals that swarm the cay.
The villa is located at the entrance of the Nipe Bay, the largest in Cuba, surrounded by some twelve beaches of fine sand and crystal clear waters, although some are located a couple of kilometers away from the hotel.
Even taking into account the beauty of the nearby reefs, the real hook of the hotel are the safari excursions, with which you can go through the woods and meadows that surround it, where you can see antelopes, zebras, deer, boars, jutias, wild bulls and even a camel, all in total freedom.
Rising in the middle of the island, the hotel consists of several small villas or bungalows. It has two restaurants, La Iguana and La Gira, bar, cafeteria, massage, games room, pool table and shop, as well as medical services and national and international telephony. It does not have a pool. Access to the hotel is difficult and to move around, in case of long distances, it is best to rent a jeep. In addition, the nearest town is about 45 minutes by car.
Different ecological excursions are also offered, given the rich flora and fauna of this region. Those who like to practice water sports, will find on the nearby beaches a great response to their orders, in addition to boat rides.
The rooms are simple and could benefit from a remodel, but some have beautiful wooden ceilings and all have a bathroom, terrace, telephone, safe, TV and minibar. They are usually kept clean and the terraces are nice to enjoy peace and tranquility.
A very pleasant option for those who like isolation and nature. A wild oasis for a Caribbean and adventurous experience.
