Hotel Palacio Azul
The 4 star Hotel Palacio Azul is located near the historic center of Cienfuegos, next to the Boulevard Club Naútico, probably one of the quietest and most inspiring locations in the city.
The hotel, designed by Italian architect Alfredo Fontana, was built between 1920 and 1921 in an eclectic style. In 2004, this neo-classical mansion crowned by a tower with a Mogol-style dome was renovated in order to turn it into a colonial-style hotel.
Palacio Azul is characterized by being one of the first buildings erected in the residential part of the city of Cienfuegos, with a beautiful view of the bay. Elegance, comfort, professionalism and familiarity are attributes of this hotel whose architectural features give it heritage value.
The hotel has a lobby bar, a solarium with views of the sea and the city and a small restaurant with typical dishes of Cuban food and some other international dishes. However, the Club Náutico, located next to the hotel, has very good dining options.
As for rooms, the hotel has a standard 7: 6 (2 of them double) and a triple. Three rooms have balconies with views of the sea and the city. Each, on the other hand, bears the name of a flower. The rooms on the second floor are the most comfortable, especially the Dalias, with a fine view over the bay. In general, they are simple, clean, with a high ceiling and with the original mosaic floor, and they have hot and cold water, air conditioning, telephone, satellite television and bathroom.
A genuine jewel of Cienfuegos architecture, simple in terms of options, but where it will be treated with the best of services.
