Hotel Rancho Luna
The Club Amigo Rancho Luna Hotel is a 2 star all-inclusive complex located in a discreet and remote cove on the south coast of the island, right between the beach line and a lush mountain area. Despite its simplicity, itís a valid option for those with little budget seeking being close to nature.
Rancho Luna beach, in addition to its natural beauty, is perfect for diving and other water sports. The areaís also popular due to the variety of tours and ecological activities available.
The hotel has a strong influence of Soviet architecture of the second half of the twentieth century, although nowadays it shows more vivid colors, typical of the tropics. Basically it has a couple of restaurants with Cuban and international food offers, bars, tennis court, barbecue, day and night entertainment (although poor), diving school, gym, Internet with prepaid cards, Olympic pool, sauna, games room and conference room, as well as money exchange, national and international phone calls, 24-hour medical services and store with basic supplies.
The hotel has 222 simple rooms, equipped with hot and cold water, air conditioning, telephone and cable TV. The conditions are basic and not always the best.
In general, the reviews are not encouraging about the hotel. The cleaning conditions are not the best, nor is the food. The bars have little variety of drinks and there are not many recreational offers either. The fact of being a bit away from the city (30 minutes driving) can also be a point against. The staff can be rough at times.
Not very recommended, except, maybe, for just one or two nights.
